Resistors Refurbishment

Telema can study technical solutions and produce specific products for the refurbishment of old rail traction resistors. When original design, drawings, specifications are no more available, Telema can anyway design and manufacture functionally equivalent resistor assuring that it conforms to the original equipment design by electrical, thermal and mechanical tests performed in our laboratory.

The support and service we can provide are:

• Replacement of old resistors based on obsolete technologies (cast iron)
• Technical support and co-design for the issue of technical specifications in the event of no availability of the original resistor documentation
• Design of resistors having the same interfaces positions of the original one for an easy replacement
• Design of resistors using the original enclosures
• Design of resistors using the original motor fans
