Temperature is a critical factor in the operation and lifespan of lithium-ion batteries used in rail vehicles. The optimal operating temperature for these batteries is between 15°C and 35°C. If the temperature falls outside this range, both the performance and the longevity of the battery will be significantly compromised.
Telema provides efficient and reliable thermal management solutions for railway applications: Telema BTMS is specifically designed to meet the specific requirements of a wide range of battery-operated trains and trams, as well as to adhere to railway industry standards:
- EN 50125 – Environmental conditions from -25°C to 55°C
- EN 61373 – Shock and Vibration Testing
- EN 45545 – Fire & Smoke
- EN 50155 – Electronic equipment
- EN 50121 –EMC Requirements
- EN 60077 – Electric equipment
- EN 50657 – Software Development
Telema BTMS key characteristics:
